I’m going to be taking a hiatus for the spring and summer. I will be writing away, working on a script and am involved with a writer’s workshop online, amongst other things. The other things, include clearing out a couple of family owned properties and selling them. Things are a mess, and I’m left dealing with the fall out. Extreme spring cleaning–what a joy! It is what it is. And, I’ll muddle through looking for the lessons to be gleaned from getting through seemingly unsurmountable tasks.
In the interim, I’d like to introduce you to a young friend of mine, Esme Xiomara West. Esme’s mother and I have known each other all our lives and went to school together. We are more like family than friends. And, I consider Esme to be my niece. I was there when she was born and have watched and sometimes participated in her growing up. Esme is 15, has gorgeous big dark eyes and a glorious mane of dark curls–which she changes daily or more than daily. She’s a veritable quick change artist–sometimes if you’re not careful, you could walk past her in the street and not recognize her. I don’t know how she does it! 🙂 Or why!?! buh buh ba buh! Anyway, there is more to Esme than her appearance belies. She’s smart and kind and has incredible depth which she tries to hide sometimes. She will be blogging here and there, maybe more–hopefully! Maybe she will throw some inspiration my way to keep up this blog at a more regular pace.
Take it away, Esme!
